STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI

STORY: B+
ACTING: C+
DIRECTION: C-
VISUALS: B-

I was never a fan of the hit cartoon series or the game, Street Fighter. But that didn't stop me from watching this film.
I think its really a nice idea that they made the Prequels first before they made the main movie (STREET FIGHTER). Unlike the Xmen Series, they made the main movie and its sequels before they made the Prequel (Xmen Origins: Wolverine). This is a good preparation for the next streetfighter films.
The movie talks about he life of Chun-Li and how she got her powers abd how she was recruited to join the STREET FIGHTER.
The movie was nice, although they made some flaws:

At first, I thought that the narration was a good idea, but as the movie got longer, I felt that it was very disturbing. Especially the part where she narrated "BISON IS HERE IN BANGKOK" .... Hello, like its very obvious.

I was really expecting that the role of Vega(Taboo) was going to be long, I thouht that he was the main villain, because in the poster they put so much emphasis on Vega, so I was really dissapointed when his scene just lasted for 5 minutes. VERY DISSAPOINTING.

The acting wasn't that great, I thought that this film was the first big-budgeted film of 2009 but it was not, they used actors that didn't performed well. of course Kristin Kreuk did great, she was the life of the film, but Taboo and Klein, they killed the film.

The effects are good enough, except for the final battle scene where Chun-Li unleashed an energy ball to Bison, it wasn't pretty. But aside from that, everything was good.

The directon, I can say, wasn't that good but it wasn't hat bad either, the director should have put emphasis on every character, He should have put enough time for the audience to enjoy thae characters they want to see. He should have done something wonderful to capture the attention of the audience.

But, I think the movie wasn't that bad, just good enough to entertain the audience. Kristin Kreuk did a great job, she knows where to put herself, she knows how to handle her character. She is very flexible, she's good in everything in action, sexy and drama.

the The stunts are great and the fight scenes are really fantastic, I love the first part where someone shot an arrow to Chun-Li's dad and he used the Fridge's door as a shield, kinda reminded me of Smallville.

Overall, its a nice movie, for those who loved the cartoon series and the game, I bet you're gonna like this film.

PUSH

Story: A-

Ive never seen any of Dakota Fanning's films, I'm not a fan of hers nor like her. But watching this flm made me changed my attitude or my views regarding her. Turns out, I lke her, she acts very natural and very mature for her age. you won't even think she's just 13 or 14. She's pretty and very innocent-looking. she's also got style.
Dakota, I feel did a great job in this film, its a serous action packed film, but she her innocence put the comedy in the film. I actually love the part when Dakota was drunk and she wasn't aware what she was doing, she was blaming Kira for everything, etc. I can't imagine a very innocent kid got drunk, its very unusual but it was funny.
The story is very unpredictable, especially the part where they plan to make decoys, it was really great, i was so surprised at the last part where Nick almost died, i really thought he injected himself with the drug. it was a nice twist.
I love the idea of the film, a government agency that's tracking down evryone who has special abilities and use them as soldiers. I love the concept of the film, but It sorta reminded me of JUMPER and HEROES. But the difference is that the characters are divided into groups, they have watchers pushers, movers, shifters etc. If I will be given the chance to choose what power or ability I want to possess, I'll choose to be a mover and a shifter, i can shift things and move things with my mind.
If there's a part from the film that I like, I'll choose the fight scene or the final battle. Crap! that was a really good fight scene and really nice effects. the fight scene is dark, murderous, funny and shocking.
One thing I don't like about the film is the camera angles, they put too much close-up, its kinda annoying. But aside from that everything is great.

overall, thsi film is fantastic nice story good effects. Its really a movie to watch.

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL

Story: C-

I ACTUALLY DIDN'T FINISH WATCHING THE FILM, I JUST WATCHED FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN I GOT BORED.
THE MOVIE IS I THINK AN ADAPTATION OR MAYBE A REMAKE.
FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, I THINK THAT ITS NOT REALLY A BAD MOVIE, THE PLOT IS I THINK NICE, WHAT MAKES IT NOT GOOD ENOUGH, IS THAT IT IS VERY BORING, LOUSY AS IS SAY.
I HAVEN'T REALLY FINISH IT BUT I THINK I KNOW THE STORY BECAUSE IT IS VERY OBVIOUS, ANOTHER ALIEN INVASION MOVIE. AS WHAT I'VE SEEN SO FAR, KEANU IS I THINK FROM THE PAST(1950'S) OR SO, THEN HE GOT SUCKED OR WHATEVER IN EARTH-LIKE BALL, THEN HE LIVE IN THERE FOR A FEW DECADES, THEN THE BALL TURNS UP I GUESS FROM THE OUTER SPACE THEN CRASHED INTO MANHATTAN. THEN A HUMAN-LIKE ALIEN SHOWED UP THEN THE MILITARY IMMOBILIZED AND CAPTURED HIM FOR THEM TO STUDY. AFTER FEW HOURS THE ALIEN WAS SLOWLY FORMNG INTO A HUMAN IN THE PERSON OF KEANU REEVES. THEN THE GOVERNMENT INTERROGATES HIM, ASKING WHAT PLANET HE CAME FROM THEN WHY DID THEY VISIT EARTH...THEN I FELL ASLEEP, WHEN I WOKE UP THE MAGICAL BALL TURNED UP THEN SUCKED EVERYTHING I GUESS, THEN I GOT BORED.
I THINK THE ENDING WOULD BE, KEANU WILL BE SUCKED AND THEN THE BALL WILL GO BACK TO WHERE IT CAME FROM, OR MAYBE KEANU WILL STOP OR DESTROY THE BALL.
I THINK WHAT MAKES IT BORING IS THE PLOT, IT IS VERY COMMON HOW MANY MOVIES ABOUT ALIEN INVASION HAVE WE SEEN?
OTHER THING IS THE MUSIC AND THE BACKGROUND THEME, MAKES YOU FALL ASLEEP, OTHER IS THERE ARE A LOT OF CHARACTERS AND THEY DID NOT SPECIFY WHO THEY WERE AND WHAT ARE THEIR ROLES.
ON THE OTHER HAND THE EFFECTS ARE KINDA GREAT.
OVERALL, THE MOVIE IS NICE BUT BORING.
